Congratulations to NCCI Holdings, for its record-breaking annual United Way campaign. The Boca Raton-based company, which collects and analyzes workers compensation data, raised more than $275,000!
Employee involvement is the key to NCCI’s successful campaign and it starts with Stephen Klingel, President and Chief Executive Officer, who is very involved, and provides campaign support and encouragement. As the top decision maker, Klingel leads by example and as a result, NCCI’s campaign boasts 79 employees who donate at the Leadership Circle level, giving $1,000 or more to the campaign. Together, these leaders raised more than $118,000.
There is also an enthusiastic Campaign Committee that makes sure the campaign is educational and fun. To do this, the committee plans events and fundraisers such as jean sticker sales, lunch and learn, basket raffles, a silent auction and an upscale tag sale.
The campaign is an important time to raise awareness about the needs in Palm Beach County. The lunchtime Agency Forum, which is an NCCI campaign tradition, invites many of United Way’s Partner Agencies to set up booths in the NCCI cafeteria to allow employees to visit and speak with the partners. It is a great way to learn about our community.
The campaign finale is usually the biggest event and the most fun. This year it featured a homecoming tailgate party with hot dogs and hamburgers, a mini-float contest, cheerleaders and a parade. What a great way to celebrate an incredibly successful campaign!
NCCI Holdings is one of United Way’s Top 10 Workplace Campaigns.
