This year I have the honor and privilege to serve as Chair of United Way of Palm Beach County’s Tocqueville Society.  As a member of one of our Society’s founding families, I take great pride in the many milestones we have achieved over the years and I look forward to embarking on an exciting season.

It is a significant time for our local program in that we are commemorating the Society’s 20th Anniversary and launching a robust effort to engage new and former members throughout our county and beyond.  Among my goals this year are to: establish a lasting foundation that will support United Way, its partner agencies and programs that meet the urgent needs of children, families and individuals; garner the support and leadership of my peers with the assistance of a dynamic group of co-chairs who are working alongside me this year; and welcome a new generation of individuals and families whose involvement will ensure our Society continues to grow and flourish.

For those of you with the capacity to direct resources and action to causes that matter, I encourage and invite you to join me alongside other compassionate community stewards as members of our Tocqueville Society. Whether you live in Palm Beach County year round or come for several weeks at a time, your active support is needed.

The United Way Tocqueville Society is a highly respected group of philanthropic community leaders and volunteer champions from around the world. In Palm Beach County members are the catalyst for many of the most important and lasting societal changes and initiatives that deliver positive community impact on a daily basis. The compassion and commitment of our members provides help where it is needed most and directly affects the lives of many thousands of residents in Palm Beach County building the foundation for a stronger community. Since its inception in 1990-1991, the local Society has invested over $25 million towards improving the lives of children, families and individuals living in our community.
