Volunteer Project: The Mentor Mile! 1 Mile Walk/5K Run

Volunteer with us for our 1-Mile Walk/5K Run!

We have several volunteer opportunities available. When registering, please select the ticket corresponding to the time slot you want to register for.

Volunteer opportunity times and descriptions:

  • 6:00-7:00 AM: Assist United Way staff with setting up the start/finish line and unloading our truck with event materials.
  • 6:00-7:00 AM: Assist at the registration table.
  • 7:00-8:00 AM: Assist vendors with setting up their tables and tents.
  • 7:30-9:30 AM: Volunteer at one of the two water stations throughout the course, handing out water and/or Gatorade to all runners.
  • 7:30- 9:30 AM: Assist with road closure needs.
  • 7:30-9:30 AM: Assist with turning signs and directions throughout the course.
  • 8:00-9:30 AM: Assist with handing out medals to all finishers.
  • 8:00-11:00 AM: Monitor the bounce house (how many kids are allowed at the time, shoes off, age/weight limit at a time, etc.).
